Hey there. I’m Emma, and I’m an actor based in NYC. I’m a senior at Otterbein University, and graduating in May with a BFA in Acting.
As soon as I got my first smartphone, I was setting up notifications for the next Broadway.com vlog—Fly Girl fans, I see you. I am you. I grew up with an unabashed love for musical theatre.
Passionate about narrative change work, being a proud queer artist is a gift in which I can offer rooms a truthful, nuanced perspective. I play characters across the gender binary, and love seeing new, daring perspectives on queer/nonbinary roles. So, I have a special affinity for Shakespeare and the way I am invited, envisioned, and considered for starkly contrasting characters.
Inversely, I often return to my first love—musical theatre. In college, I’ve been lucky to train my voice and dance technique daily.
Beyond performing, I also have collegiate and professional experience as a certified Intimacy Captain (through Ann James, Intimacy Coordinators of Color). As an emerging Intimacy Director, I coordinated Romeo and Juliet last summer, and am currently training through Theatrical Intimacy Education to receive their advanced diploma.
Above all, I work hard to ensure with all of the roles I embody, that there is a deep sense of humanity.
Empathy first, always. Now—let’s get to work.
